What would enacting reconciliation do? According to the Republican Study Committee, the CBO has found that enacting reconciliation would: (CPRights.org)
Increase the gross cost of coverage provisions to $940 billion
Increase the individual penalty payments / taxes by $2 billion (to $17 billion)
Increase the employer penalty payments / taxes by $25 billion (to $52 billion)
Increase the cuts to Medicare Advantage by $13.7 million (to $131.9 billion) and Medicare Advantage interactions by $53 billion (to $70.4 billion)
Reduce the tax on “Cadillac” plans by $117 billion due to the deal with the unions (to $32 billion)
Increase federal spending on Medicaid / CHIP by $48 billion (to $434 billion)
Increase subsidies by $17 billion (to $466 billion)
Increase equipment utilization for imaging resulting in an additional $1.2 billion in cuts (to $2.3 billion)

Medicare and Medicaid will be cut by some $500,000,000,000.00 just as the baby boomers begin to reach retirement age. To meet this challenge it has been reported that medicare is considering ending coverage for advanced heart care and advanced cancer care. The truth and reality rears its ugly head. It was reported that even without this taking of medicare funds the Medicare program would not be able to fund its obligations without additional taxes or program cuts after 2017.
It has been reported on main stream media that 45% of doctors will quit or take early retirement if Healthcare Reform passes as it is currently being written.
The Pay Czar has annouced that he will cut the total pay of the top executives of CitiBank, Bank of America, General Motors, General Motors Accceptance Corp, Chrysler and Chryslers Finance arm. The Executives pay will be cut by a total that will equal a 50 percent across the board cut. It was also mentioned that the Pay Czar has considered setting pay scales for everyone in the financial industry. If the Govenment pays for and controlls health care or a major part of it, will they not set pay scales for everyone in the health care industry. How many will leave the medical industry? It has been reported that General Motors cannot find a CFO due to the low salary being offered prior to the Pay Czar's annoucement. Will top surgeons stay in America or take their practice to another country?

The Lewin Group - Heritage Foundation A new analysis from The Heritage Foundation -- conducted by The Lewin Group -- shows the public plan component within the House Democrats' health reform bill is in conflict with how the Congress and President Obama are selling their reform plan. According to the Lewin study: – Approximately 103 million people would be covered under the new public plan and as a consequence about 83.4 million people would lose their private insurance. This would represent a 48.4 percent reduction in the number of people with private coverage. – About 88.1 million workers would see their current private, employer-sponsored health plan go away and would be shifted to the public plan. – Yearly premiums for the typical American with private coverage could go up by as much as $460 per privately insured person, as a result of increased cost-shifting stemming from a public plan modeled on Medicare.

Elected officials and government workers will keep their Government Health Care Plan! Why? Is the Peoples Plan inferior and if so why? (after all we are paying the bill)
It appears the Democrats are no longer updating or working with the Republicans on this bill. The bill once again has President Obama's Government Health Insurance option that will and is intended to decimate private insurance options - video. The government hopes to have the final bill passed by the end of July. The public may get to see the final bills 72 hours before its passed. One government official was said to laugh when asked if the senators would read the bill before signing it. The Fed and the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, will meet with China before months end to arrange over half a trillion of new debt necessary to implement the bill.
On 5/14/09 President Obama declared that the "Stars are Aligned" and it it time to proceed with Health Care Reform. Actual bill is not complete/finished/available at this time. Currently the Health Care Reform Bill is larger than the Stimulus bill.
National Health Care Reform - 1.5 Trillion dollars and counting! Obama Administration calling for 625 billion dollars in new taxes and $500 million in spending cuts on Medicare and $300-500 million in spending cuts from Medicaid. President Obama hopes for a National Health Insurance option is in the final version. This refrom package will not cover the poor. The poor will be covered in another more costly bill expanding eligibility of medicare and medicaid.
Does the Obama plan call for rationed health care? It has too. Will the elderly and allopathically incurable loose? Very likely. No one can be denied health insurance do to pre-existing conditions - covered medical conditions lists will likely shrink. Will a committee decide what health issues and drugs will be covered/available depending on a cost/bennefit ratio, age, and quality of life? No, the recently passed AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (Remember the electronic medical records ...) already calls for it. We now have a "Pay Czar" who will, in time, undoubtably set pay scales for health care workers. Be proactive, consider the following.
